Robert Half Senior Accountant in Richmond, California

Description Put your problem-solving skills to work as a Senior Accountant on the dynamic team at Robert Half, now offering a short-term contract / contract / contract / temporary opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities

  • Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing

  • Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments

  • Arrange monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)

  • Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests Requirements - Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

  • A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired

  • We are searching for candidates that are proficient in financial reporting

  • Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

  • Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards

  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • QuickBooks experience desired

  • Expertise in NetSuite

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

  • Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports

  • Current and relevant ERP system experience

  • Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
