Description We are offering a role in the manufacturing industry located in Roanoke, Virginia, United States. The job function is an Accounts Receivable Clerk, where you will be tasked with various responsibilities, from managing customer credit accounts to processing credit applications. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain precise records of customer credit

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect overdue payments

• Contact customers to collect on past due payments and set up payment plans

• Manage and log all outgoing disbursements from petty cash accounts

• Monitor all vendor payment agreements to find discounts that can be used to reduce invoice amounts

• Enter invoices and perform data entry tasks

• Use Microsoft Excel to manage and organize data, utilizing functions such as pivot tables and vlookups

• Perform research and call vendors for accounts payable backlog

• Handle credits/debits, collections, and sales and use tax.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Billing and Collections

• Experience in Commercial Billing Collection and Cash Collections

• Ability to manage Customer Invoices

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Requirements • Proficiency in handling Billing and Billing Collection tasks

• Experience in Commercial Collections and Cash Collections

• Ability to generate and manage Customer Invoices effectively

• Expertise in using Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis

• Prior work experience in a manufacturing industry is desirable

• Proven track record in an Accounts Receivable Clerk role or similar

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good organizational and time management skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
