Shantel Poole with Robert Half is seeking a permanent Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become a vital part of the rapidly growing team at a respectable company in the Construction/Contractor industry. As the Accounts Payable Clerk, your duties will include matching, batching, and coding invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks. Your responsibilities in this role

• Accomplish full-cycle A/P

• Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

• Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

• Facilitate internal and external audits as needed

• Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

• Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling

• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies

• Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

• Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

Requirements - Account reconciliation experience

• Foundational knowledge in Check Runs

• Expertise in Full Cycle Payroll

• Proven knowledge of Aging Reports

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

• Coding Invoices experience

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

• Spreadsheet and database capabilities

• Strong organization skills

• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
