Overview
DMS Inc., a BRMi company, is a talented and experienced Technical Writer II to join our team. As a Technical Writer II, you will play a crucial role in creating and delivering accurate, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation for our products and services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts, to gather information and translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation. The ideal candidate should possess excellent writing skills, a strong technical background, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, release notes, and troubleshooting guides.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and engineering teams to gather information and ensure the accuracy and completeness of technical content.
Transform complex technical concepts and processes into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Organize and structure content effectively, ensuring consistency in style, tone, and formatting across various documentation types.
Conduct thorough research and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure accurate and relevant documentation.
Edit and proofread documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to company standards and style guidelines.
Review and provide feedback on documentation created by other team members, offering suggestions for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback on documentation, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary revisions.
Participate in product meetings and contribute technical insights to help shape product features and user experiences.
Continuously enhance documentation processes, tools, and templates to improve efficiency and quality.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Proven experience working as a Technical Writer, creating software or technology-related documentation.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging content.
Strong understanding of software development processes, APIs, and technical concepts.
Proficiency in using industry-standard documentation tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Technical Communication Suite, or similar applications.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
