Responsibilities

Job Summary: Quality NPI Engineer is responsible for ensuring new products meet the quality standard before being introduced into mass production.

• Develop and implement Quality plans for new product introductions

• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure product designs meet quality and manufacturing standard.

• Facilitate design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for quality (DFQ) processes.

• Conduct risk assessments such as FMEA for new products

• Coordinate with supplier quality to ensure incoming components or material meet quality standard.

• Conduct supplier audits, reviews and qualification for new products.

• Lead process validation and qualification efforts, including PPAP

• Oversee pilot production runs and Analyse data to identify potential quality issues.

• Drive continuous improvements initiatives within the NPI process

• Ensure accurate and details documentation of quality processes, test results, and corrective actions.

Preferred Skill:

• Certification in six Sigma or Quality Engineering will be advantage.

• Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).

• Knowledge regulatory requirements for the specific industry (Railways)
