Position Summary Information

 

Summary

Deliver the professional mentorship components of the prospective student recruitment program for the doctor of pharmacy ("Pharm.D.") program with focus on delivering relationship building and pre-professional mentorship components to prospective students and their families. Oversee the admissions process for the College of Pharmacy (COP). Collaborate with various offices and NEOMED outreach staff to deliver the planned outreach and recruitment components leading to new student enrollment in the Pharm.D. program. Maintain a faculty appointment within the College of Pharmacy. 

 

Principal Functional Responsibilities

Faculty Responsibilities: Fulfill general faculty responsibilities in the areas of teaching, scholarly activity and service commensurate with his/her respective faculty appointment and with a distribution of effort proportionate with a leadership position in the College of Pharmacy.

 

Administrative Responsibilities: Oversee all phases of the Admissions process for the College of Pharmacy and serve as a primary liaison for Admissions related matters. Participate in budget preparation for pipeline and admissions related activities. Complete course mapping and articulation solicitation, development, and management.

 

Planning and Assessment: Collaborate with the College of Pharmacy office of student success to manage the college pharmacy student ambassador program. Collaborate with NEOMED admission staff and college of pharmacy decanal leadership to develop the pre-professional content for the collaboratively planned and delivered portfolio of admission and recruiting-related activities leading to Pharm.D. enrollment. Provide coordination and oversight for the Early Assurance Program.

 

Pre-Professional Mentorship and Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with prospective early assurance students and their families leading to enrollment into the NEOMED Pharm.D. program, including communicating with college pre-health advisors, interviewing and assessing prospective students in collaboration with the college admission committee. Train and mentor the pharmacy student ambassador program students in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy office of student success. 

 

New Student Recruiting: Meet with prospective candidates for early assurance and admission, keeping a consistent and accessible calendar of availability. Collaborate with admission staff to conduct small group information sessions with prospective students and families through a variety of channels. Assist with in-person, on campus, Pharm.D. candidate interview days to deliver program and career-related information. 

 

Qualifications

Pharmacy-related degree. Ability to work early evenings and Saturdays on infrequent occasions.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.). Practicing pharmacist licensure. Employment as a practicing pharmacist with at least 3 years of experience.

 

Physical Requirements

Must be able to utilize a phone, computer and screen and other office equipment.

 

Department Specific Information

Starting Salary Range: $100,000 to $145,930, commensurate with experience
