Direct Care Support encourages and assists individuals in developing interdependence, productivity, and integration in the community

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:]{lang="EN"}]{lang="EN" calibri",sans-serif"=""}**

• Facilitate meaningful and productive activities for individuals.
• Learn the individuals being supported well - their likes and dislikes, strengths and needs, interests and preferences, and their health requirements.
• Support communication between the individual and others using relevant assistive technology devices and strategies.
• Support healthy expression of individuality.
• Support individuals in accomplishing Individual Service Plan goals.
• Plan and facilitate activities that promote opportunities to expand personal interests, build skills, develop friendships, and fulfill valued social roles.
• Assist, train, and encourage individuals to use community resources.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• New Mexico drivers license.
• Certified Nurses Assistant preferred.
• Experience working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Ability to provide physical assistance to individuals.
