Scope of Job

The clinical nurse, under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The Clinical Nurse provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nursing and Operational Leadership according to Beaumont policies and procedures within an ambulatory setting.

Ambulatory Care Setting in Royal Oak Hospital. 7:30AM-4:00PM. Monday-Friday, No Weekends or Holidays.

This position is PRN to support new growth within Radiation Oncology for our Radio Pharmaceutical program. The nurse will assist with scheduling radio pharm patients, authorization of medication, administering medication as well as monitoring patient during administration and educating patients on potential side effects and follow-up care.

Qualifications

  • Required Associate's Degree or equivalent Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an associate’s degree or higher. Diploma, A.D.N., B.S.N., M.S.N., DNP/PhD

  • Required Bachelor's Degree if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to sign an educational contract upon hire to complete BSN within specified timeframe and adhere to contract stipulations. RN must enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within the next four (4) years. This is effective September 1, 2017.

  • 2 years of relevant experience acute care nursing experience Required

  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

  • CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list - UNKNOWN Unknown Upon Hire required

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required

  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association department specific Upon Hire required

  • CRT-Specialty Certification - UNKNOWN Unknown department specialty Upon Hire preferred
