Rye Country Day School Girls Varsity Volleyball Head Coach in Rye, New York

Rye Country Day School is seeking a Girls’ Varsity Volleyball Head Coach beginning August 19, 2024. Rye Country Day School is a coeducational, Prek-12, college preparatory school located in Westchester County, New York dedicated to providing students with an excellent education using both traditional and innovative approaches. Specific responsibilities of the position include:

  • Coaching from August 19, 2024 - November 14, 2024

  • Development of continuity between Middle School, Junior Varsity and Varsity levels

  • Supervision of players

  • Oversight of the development and progress of each student-athlete

  • Communication with parents and guardians

  • Collaborative work with Athletic Department colleagues, Upper School and Middle School faculty and staff, and the broader school community

Desired qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-years successful coaching experience with adolescents in this age group

  • A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive school community

  • Energetic and enthusiastic, flexible and patient
