Edwards Lifesciences Therapy Activation Specialist IMAGING, Transcatheter Mitral & Tricuspid Therapies (Germany / multiple locations) in Sachsen, Germany

Transcatheter Mitral & Tricuspid Therapies (TMTTs) are the future of Edwards – Estimated to be a more than $5 billion opportunity by 2028, Edwards will discuss its multiple transcatheter programs aimed at transforming care for the many patients suffering from mitral and tricuspid regurgitation. Since 2017 Edwards launched already 5 products – transformational therapies in Europe led by its CARDIOBAND, PASCAL and EVOQUE programs. And we are expecting M3, mitral valve, to come soon, CE mark expected in upcoming months!

Be one of the first Therapy Activation Specialist IMAGING who will be educating physicians, providing on-site cardiac imaging support and guidance during clinical procedures to ensure optimal imaging during the implantation. You will be playing pioneering role assuring best experience with totally new technology – M3 will be able to REPLACE mitral valve in minimal invasive way – so no need to settle open heart surgery any longer!

Requested candidate locations: Germany - PREFERRED.

Other possible locations: United Kingdom, Switzerland.

Travelling to US for onboarding will be requested. Travel on the job ca. 50 % in EU countries.

How you will make an impact:

  • Provide education on all aspects of therapy including imaging, integration and troubleshooting techniques related to equipment, software, tools and products required for clinical use including but not limited to intraoperative case coverage and coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured education programs in the Cath Lab

  • Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and hospital staff on all aspects of technical matters related to products and procedures including imaging through conducting and/or coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured education programs on one technology.

  • Provide moderately complex intraprocedural imaging support during beating heart studies for therapies

  • Analyze, summarize, and present clinical baseline, procedural, and follow-up imaging (e.g., CT, echo, MRI, angiography) to provide inputs that support new product and procedure development and to support event investigation

  • Collaborate with HCPs to develop imaging patient selection criteria and screening protocol

  • Train field support team and/or HCPs on cardiac imaging procedures

  • Provide on-site cardiac imaging support and guidance during clinical procedures to ensure optimal imaging during the implantation of transcatheter devices (if certified).

  • Analyze imaging and/or oversee third party image analysis for patient screening and contribute an opinion to the assessment of potential cases

What you'll need (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Cardiac sciences, Cardiac Physiology, Cardiovascular perfusion or other related scientific or technical field.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in cardiac imagin g within a clinical, hospital and/or industry environment ( CT, cardiac sonographer, echocardiographer )

  • Professional accreditation in echocardiography with EACVI (European society of Cardiology), BSE (British Society of Echocardiography) or equivalent is strongly preferred

  • Fluent in English required, advanced/fluent in German highly preferred

  • Active car driver - company car provided - high flexibility to travel

What else we look for:

  • Good imaging analysis software skills (e.g. 3Mensio, TomTec, Vitrea, Circle VI, etc.)

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

  • Ability to effectively guide and instruct other imaging specialists in clinical settings on effective imaging equipment operation

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment, fostering collaboration between inter-departmental teams, HCPs and KOLs

  • Solid knowledge of relevant imaging equipment operation (e.g. 2D or 3D TTE/TEE/ICE, CT, MRI, etc.)

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to cardiovascular imaging

  • Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines

  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices

  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
