Matheson Trucking, Inc. is looking for an experienced People Development Manager to help us as we expand to new heights and support our growing business.

Position Description: The People Development Manager plays an integral role in the expansion of exceptional online professional development across Matheson Companies to support eLearning in professional development, compliance, and process. The People Development Manager is responsible to oversee design and build learning experiences that help Matheson employees succeed. This hands-on role in an emerging team, provides an opportunity to create the blue-print for great multimedia training content for the future of online professional development and engagement at Matheson.

Principal Accountabilities:

●Content Design

○Collaborate with Director of People and Culture as well as leadership across business units to provide input and recommendations for engaging, relevant, and effective content.

○Develop eLearning courses/curriculum that are based on sound instructional design principles and a variety of instructional methodologies to support employee development across Matheson’s business units.

●Content Development

○Training content creation to suit audience, in motivational, compliance, technical or informational nature.

○Training video script production.

○Ensure messages and terminology are consistent across all written materials.

○Re-conceptualize existing in-person professional development programs for online delivery.

○Collaborate with Director of People and Culture, subject matter experts and consultants to ensure the development of excellent learning training, multimedia and materials.

○Develop graphics/media assets to bring story elements and concepts to life visually using curriculum design software.

○Apply effective and timely project management skills to handle multiple concurrent projects.

○Execute project requirements working under tight deadlines.

○Maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with employees and vendors.

●Content Delivery

○Launch e-learning modules in Cornerstone LMS.

○Administration of LMS including loading, testing, and maintenance of courses/curriculums.

○Analyze user engagement, management of dashboards and homepage, audience management.

○Apply trends and best practices in learning technologies.

○Continuously build personal knowledge of eLearning, training, technology applications and best practices with emphasis in digital delivery.

Compensation:

  • $130K to $150K

  • Will commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position.

Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in eLearning development (e-Learning or Instructional Design Certificate desired)

  • Proficiency in multiple authoring tools (Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.) to develop eLearning courses

  • Familiarity with LMS, CMS, and E-Learning standards (AICC, SCORM, xAPI, etc.)

  • Experience delivering educational content through learning management systems

  • Proven project management and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of effective relationship management
