Job Title: MD/DO - Primary, Family, Internal Medicine

Location: Refugee Clinic

Type of Position: Locum Tenens

Start Date: ASAP upon Credentialing

Duration: Through June 2025 (with potential to extend)

Schedule:

• Full-time preferred

• No on-call or callback requirements

  Certifications Required:

• ACLS

• DEA

  Licensure:

• Active & Unencumbered California State License

  Experience:

• At least 12 months of primary care clinical experience

  Responsibilities:

• Provide traditional primary and preventive health care to adult population

• Serve as a primary care provider (PCP), with options to work in Urgent Care, Same Day Care, or Afterhours if interested

• Diagnose medical and surgical problems, prescribe necessary treatments, and deliver quality patient care

• Take patient histories, conduct physical exams, write progress notes, prepare patient workups and summaries, and assume responsibility for developing therapeutic relationships with patients

• Order and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures, and explain these to patients

• Perform therapeutic procedures such as cast application/removal, wound suturing, and dressing changes

• Monitor patient progress, report to supervising physician, and maintain detailed records

• Provide patient education

  Patient Demographics:

• Average daily patient load: 16 patients per full day

  EMR systems:

• Uses OCHIN EMR system, which operates on EPIC
