Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Saint Paul, Minnesota
Description A successful Non-Profit organization that will recognize your efforts is working with Robert Half to find a talented Accounting Manager. To succeed in this role, you will need to lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. If you have the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations, you will be preferred for this position. Based in the Saint Paul, Minnesota area, this Accounting Manager position is a terrific opportunity for permanent employment.
What you get to do every day
Possess a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts owned by Senior Accountant
Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to develop relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Ensure close deadlines are met by encouraging and managing the accounting team performance during the closing process
Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration Requirements - Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
Full Cycle Accounting experience
Expertise in Great Plains (GPAC)
Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains Accounting
Comprehensive knowledge of grant accounting
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
Reliable technology and analytical abilities
5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
