Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily client activities, ensuring adherence to rules and expectations

  • Orient new clients on program guidelines and assist in onboarding team members

  • Adhere to medication policies and collaborate with Behavioral Health Technicians

  • Document client activities, progress, and behavior

  • Monitor detoxification clients and provide transportation as needed

  • Participate in hiring, interviewing, and training of Behavioral Health Technicians

  • Provide supervision and facilitate meetings for Behavioral Health Technicians

  • Assist with staff scheduling and coverage for vacant shifts

  • Prepare group curricula and educational materials

  • Perform duties of a Behavioral Health Technician when required

  • Assist in crisis de-escalation and facilitate behavioral interventions

  • Ensure proper documentation following regulatory standards and incident reporting

  • Complete mandatory trainings and maintain required certifications

  • Facilitate educational or recreational groups as scheduled

  • Conduct annual evaluations for direct reports within designated timeframes

  • Contribute to the company's long-term and short-term goals and objectives

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and leadership

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university; OR

  • High School education or General Equivalency Diploma and at least two (2) years of responsible employment history

  • At least one (1) year of supervisory responsibility is preferred

Additional Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of background checks, including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect screening

  • Complete New Hire Orientation within 30 days of employment

  • Complete all Relias Learning training requirements within two (2) weeks of employment and annually thereafter

  • Obtain First Aid certification within three (3) months of employment and upon renewal

  • Obtain CPR certification within three (3) months of employment and upon renewal

  • Complete Behavioral Management training (CPI for Residential programs, Crisis Management on Relias Learning for Outpatient programs) within thirty (30) days of employment or first available class after start date

  • Achieve thirty-six (36) hour training requirements within a 2-year period in accordance with 9 CSR 10-7.110 E 1

  • Complete Privileging and Credentialing form (CPRC only) within thirty (30) days of employment

  • Extensive knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations of the assigned program

  • Obtain Driver's license in state of Residency within 30 days following the date of hire

  • For adolescent programs only: Within the first year of employment, receive training on adolescent behavior, family dynamics, communication skills, incest, sexual abuse, physical and emotional abuse, stress management, and the effect of peer pressure

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, including the human body
