Humana Organization Effectiveness Lead in Salem, Oregon

The Organization Effectiveness Lead optimizes the effectiveness of a company, business unit, or team. This position works with top executives to assess, identify, develop and implement projects and initiatives that drive transformation and change in support of the organization's overall strategy, objectives, and priorities. May develop change management strategies, design and implement development programs, and drive talent mobility initiatives. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. The Organization Effectiveness Lead exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision. Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action. Must be able to successfully navigate significant ambiguity.

Responsibilities

The Organization Effectiveness Lead will:

  • Plan, design, and implement programs, processes, and interventions to improve the overall results of the organization through partnerships with the business and HR leadership.

  • Partner with Inclusion & Diversity, business leadership, and other HR teams to plan and implement business-specific I&D strategies and initiatives.

  • Leverage enterprise talent standards and playbooks to develop 12-24 month talent road map at the segment or function level

  • Lead organization through all processes related to talent management processes, including annual workforce planning, goal setting, performance management, development planning, and succession management.

  • Enable robust succession planning and development; drive the executive talent review preparation and succession consultation with segment or function leadership, identify developmental opportunities to advance talent mobility initiatives for senior-level talent.

  • Drive development and talent mobility actions to increase the pipeline of diverse talent into Director ready roles

  • Partner with key stakeholders and HR Leadership to promote best practices and the collaborative delivery of change initiatives; directs and supports various organizational aspects of change initiatives such as job and organizational design, change management methodology, and organizational culture.

  • Leverage deep technical knowledge to coach senior executives on interventions that strengthen leadership capability and organizational effectiveness in the following areas:

  • Team Effectiveness

  • Change Management

  • Culture, Values and Associate Experience

  • Organization Design

  • Leadership pipeline development

  • Inclusion, Diversity & Equity

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Organization Development or related field

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the areas of Leadership Development, Talent Management, Associate Experience, Culture and Values, Organization Design, Change Management and Team Performance.

  • Proven experience in collaborative and influential partnering with executive leadership as well as HR cross-functional partners.

  • Ability to understand business strategies and translate them into actionable and compelling talent management and organization effectiveness initiatives.

  • Demonstrated success in diagnosing, developing and implementing solutions for organization improvement opportunities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous, complex and dynamic environment

  • Experience with maintaining and handling sensitive employee and business data

  • This role will be hybrid in Louisville, KY or fully remote with travel based on business need/meetings if located outside of Kentucky.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Organizational Development/Effectiveness, Organizational Psychology, Talent Management or related field

  • Proven experience developing a talent road map across a large enterprise.

  • Proven experience in process development for Talent Reviews across a large enterprise.

  • Passion for impacting the associate and leadership experience across culture, associate experience, and change management.

  • Proven experience driving and implementing initiatives that balance impacts to multiple stakeholder groups

  • Demonstrated success in managing the people and performance aspects of large-scale change initiatives

  • Experience implementing Diversity & Inclusion initiatives

  • Demonstrated success in diagnosing, developing, and implementing large-scale organization effectiveness initiatives (e.g., Organization Design, M&A organization & talent integration, business transformation, right-sizing)

  • Past experience in a clinical organization (clinic, physician practice, hospital, pharmacy, home health) is a plus.

Additional information

As a WAH associate, you will be required to work from your own home and no other location. In order to qualify, you must have a room in your home designated as a home office; away from high traffic areas where confidential information may be secured. You must provide your own high speed DSL or a cable modem. Satellite and/or wireless internet connections are NOT permitted. A minimum internet speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) internet speed is required.
