Zurich North America is hiring an Premium Audit Field Director to join our team! We are open to hiring talent in one of the following locations: California. We are open to considering alternate locations for a well-qualified candidate.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Manages overall workload and resources in the assigned territory.

  • Monitor and manage team of professional field auditors including coaching, counselling and supporting remote staff.

  • Ensure that the premium audit process is completed timely and accurately.

  • Ensures that field audits are completed at the offices, if any, of the insured in a timely fashion and following approved protocols.

  • Ensures training and continious development of auditors.

  • Develops and documents best practices.

  • Ensures customer service to underwriters and to the insured externally.

  • Manage relationship with key stakeholders/area of responsibility.

  • Develop or enable the development of new and expanding business opportunities.

  • As needs arise, use network of contacts with specialized expertise.

  • Identify opportunities and risks associated with changes in the external environment, looking forward 1 -2 years.

  • Design, recommend and implement changes to processes, systems.

  • Set and execute operational objectives and plans aligned to the strategy of the Shared Service Unit/Strategic Business Unit.

  • Ensure that appropriate documentation, implementation and communication of established policy, procedures and operating standards is completed for area of responsibility.

  • Regularly monitors and evaluates activities to identify potential risks and issues of non-compliance.

  • Participates or may lead risk assessment for their area of responsibility and escalates potential issues to higher management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Audit areaOR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Audit area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing and presenting presentations

  • Advanced Premium Audit and Microsoft Office skills

  • Ability to effectively manage resources and relationships in a remote environment

  • People management experience

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. T he salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The starting salary range for this position is $96,300.00 - $157,700.00.
