Marion County Health and Human Services (MCHHS) is seeking an adaptable and experienced Senior Office Manager (SOM) to lead essential administrative functions within our Administrative Services Division. This role is integral to our mission, providing critical support across MCHHS programs and divisions, and helping our teams serve the community effectively. This position supervises a team of nine full-time employees and reports directly to the Administrative Services Division Director. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Positions at this level are involved primarily with the design and implementation of comprehensive office systems and workflow procedures including automated management information systems, advanced clerical functions of a complex or technical nature and maintaining compliance with legal and/or grant requirements. Plans, organizes and manages the work of a large county department\'s office or divisions\' clerical support staff which requires advanced administrative expertise in the areas of assignment. Prepares and administers special projects of a complex and technical nature as assigned. Positions in the Senior Office Manager classification differ from the Office Manager by having the broader responsibility to: -Supervise a staff of 10 or more employees. -Administer specialized and more complex departmental functions requiring a higher degree of technical expertise to perform this type of work assignment. The Office Manager classification directly supervises the work of small office and/or division\'s clerical support personnel while performing more routine office functions. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS 1. Bachelor\'s degree in business administration, management or other related field; AND 2. Three years of progressively responsible experience in an office environment; including one year in a supervisory, leadership, or coordination capacity related to the position, such as training, scheduling and reviewing work, providing guidance and technical expertise to others, providing input on performance evaluations and making recommendations in the hiring process, OR 3.
