Job Summary and Qualifications

• You will implement and support division-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to Clinical Informatics and other clinical applications and tools.

• You will develop, execute, and support educational plans, tools and resources focused on the clinical initiatives, Meaningful Use and additional clinical applications as developed and implemented.

• You will facilitate and project leadership of the advanced clinical system functions implementation

• You will provide at-the-elbow support for all Go-Live quality informatics initiatives to facilitate clinician engagement and minimize workflow interruption. You will ensure ongoing support plans and resources are in place for all affected clinicians and personnel.

• You will be responsible for Evidence Based Order set review, approval, and the build within the facility.

• You will be responsible for the ongoing monitoring of various advanced clinicals usage trend reports, and will Identify gaps/areas of opportunity and develop action plan(s) to address areas of concern.

• You will be expected to bring resolution to unsigned telephone and verbal orders that have aged and orders that have been rejected.

• You will ensure that physician documents are signed and in the appropriate status to become a part of the legal medical record.

• You will need to identify complex issues and requests escalated from the division service desk or other division or facility service resources.

• You will establish and maintain strong, effective working relationships with the entire project team, clinical leaders, business leaders, ITG staff and facility staff.

• You will be expected to identify gaps and opportunities in departmental process mapping of current state and the future state workflows.

• You will provide system and operations expertise for implementation of process & system changes.

• You will provide on-going support and order workflow support.

• You will participate in systems training for project team, serve as Super User for Clinicians

• You will be required to actively support and promote systems standardization, utilization, and best practices in the area of clinical informatics, CPOE and Meaningful use.

• You will participate in special projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

• You will assist providers with correction erroneous documentation.

• •You will be required to adhere to the facility/company Code of Conduct and Mission & Value Statement.

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Nurse License issued by the Department of Health Professions, Commonwealth of Virginia OR Registered Nurse with “multi-state privilege" granted to them by virtue of holding a license in one of the states participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact Agreement and who has not established permanent residency in Virginia is required.

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.

• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

• Must have three to five years’ experience in clinical applications support or equivalent.

• Must have a mature understanding of Meditech and the pertinent regulatory guidelines such as Joint Commission, MQSA, HIPAA and ACR.
