Description

We are offering a part-time, short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Salinas, California. In this role, you will be a vital part of our team, handling a variety of tasks related to maintaining customer accounts, processing credit applications, and assisting the accounting department. This position is within the industry of account reconciliation and commercial collections.

Temporary Part Time Accounts Receivable Position - 4 Weeks, 4 hours per day, 9-3 pm flexible

Responsibilities:

• Processing and posting of daily deposits of Checks/ACH payments in the system

• Reviewing and invoicing shipped orders based on daily sales reports

• Providing necessary Accounts Receivable reports to the Sales Team

• Assisting the Accounting Department with tasks such as filing

• Maintaining a high level of accuracy in 10-key data entry

• Utilizing various software programs including Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Famous for various tasks

• Maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail while multitasking

• Ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Regularly monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary

• Maintaining accurate customer credit records.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable Clerk role or similar

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Applications, Cash Collections, and Commercial Collections

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Famous software

• Ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records

• Strong data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments

• Ability to meet assigned deadlines

• Proactive problem-solving capabilities

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred

• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is beneficial.
