Accountant

We are an established construction company based in Salt Lake City, specializing in maintenance and enhancement of asphalt surfaces for residential, commercial, and municipal clients.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Accountant to join our growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is eager to develop their career and gain exposure to different aspects of accounting. The Accountant will play a vital role supporting the Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing

• Month-end inventory reconciliation

• General Ledger maintenance, journal entry preparation, account reconciliation

• Data management in the ERP system

• Variance analysis and cost analysis

• Budgeting and forecasting

• Assisting the Controller with tax preparation & planning

• Reconciling inter-company accounts and cash settlements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 1-5 years of general accounting experience

• High level of initiative with an ability to work independently

• Ability to manage different tasks simultaneously and set priorities appropriately

• Strong analytical and technical skills with attention to detail, strong decision-making skills, problem-solving capabilities, extremely well organized
