Job Summary
The project director will provide strategic insight and leadership to a variety of project teams as part of the Operational Excellence initiative. They will coach and support project owners in analysis and problem solving, development and communication of deliverables and driving cadence and discipline in execution of projects through implementation.
Responsibilities
Support project owners in developing business cases and implementation plans through 1:1 coaching
Aid in developing materials for leadership and other performance management meetings
Collaborates with workstream and project team to drive process discipline throughout implementation
Aligns with project owner on clearly defined success metrics, including milestones, KPI goals and timing, to ensure the initiative is on track
Adapts the project management tools and dashboard reports (Wave)
Proactively flags issue or barriers to success and works with the project owners to create relevant action plans
Escalates issues that cannot be solved directly the workstream team or project owners
Collaborates with project owners to identify and report issues (e.g., overrunning budget, scope changes, timeline problems, resource constraints etc.) and problem solves to rectify issues
Is responsive to requests from Operational Excellence/Strategy colleagues, including Data and Comms specialists
Capabilities Required:
Judgement and ability to distill insights from multiple sources of information into an into an executive-level overview
Clear and concise communication with varying audiences (e.g., 1:1 and large groups) and across different mediums (e.g., verbal, email, PowerPoint)
Individual problem-solving skills and ability to lead others through problem solving
Project management skills and best practices
Ability to influence others, even without direct management responsibility
Analytical orientation, with an ability to understand inputs to metrics and set realistic targets within the organization

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, clinical field, or related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); nine years of progressively more responsible management experience; and demonstrated leadership, staff management, and effective communications skills required.
This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.
