Ford Motor Company Software Engineer in Salt Lake City, Utah

This team requests EST hours and we prefer candidates able to work hybrid from our Dearborn, MI office.

This position requires a strong technical and functional knowledge with in-depth experience with COTS applications. The candidate will work closely with Product Owners, Product Manager and Product Designers to understand the business requirements to be able implement them efficiently, within the Ford guiding principles and quality. Adhering to Agile software processes, team culture, best practices, and techniques is a must. The candidate may be asked to perform multiple tasks including software engineering, product designer, systems engineering and vendor management.

Primary Skills Required – Must Have:

  • In-depth experience in supporting Ford’s Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) including Zuken E3, Industrial Path Solutions and Mentor PCB.

  • 7+ years of IT delivery experience.

  • Python, VB Scripting, Angular, Java Springboot, C,C++, .Net, PL/SQL, UNIX script & Power Shell Script, Google Cloud Portal (GCP)

  • Strong leadership skills capable of creating and maintaining relationships.

  • Experience in running agile projects (release & iteration planning, stand-ups, backlogs)

  • Effective communicator with technical and business stakeholders

  • Accountable and problem-solving facilitator

  • Organized and detail oriented.

Nice to have:

  • Ford experience.

  • Demonstrated experience leading COTS applications.

  • An understanding of Ford’s IT architecture and business landscape.

This position is a range of salary grades 6-8 .
