Sponsored Projects Officers (SPO) on the Federal and Foundation Grants and Contracts Team provide centralized support to University of Utah faculty seeking external funding for research, public service, and sponsored institutional projects. This position provides support during most aspects of the research project life cycle, from federal and foundation proposal review to award review to providing expertise in policy guidance and administrative management of research awards to faculty and staff. SPOs are the universitys authorized liaisons for administrative and contractual matters with award sponsors. Previous experience with federal and foundation grant and/or contract applications and awards is preferred, as is experience working with federal regulations or in a highly regulated field.
