The Human Resources Internship will provide you with practical HR experience in a refinery setting and exposure to key facets of human resources.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Assists with the development, review and communication of various practices and policies.
  • Participates in HR communication initiatives and special projects.
  • Assists with the recruiting and onboarding process.
  • Assists with the development and distribution of quarterly reports to corporate and refinery management.
  • Researches employee complaints and provides recommendations to management for resolution.
  • Prepares routine and ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Assists with the coordination and administration of special events, such as company and/or site-wide recreational activities and employee recognition events.

· Positions may be available at any of the following locations:

o Norco, LA - St. Charles Refinery

o Port Arthur, TX - Port Arthur Refinery

This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications:
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Human Resources or related business field required. * Overall GPA of 3.0 (or higher) on a 4.0 scale preferred. * Obtained at least 60 credit hours by the start of the summer internship required. * Graduation dates of August 2025 through May 2027 required. * Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer required (May 19- August 1). * Able and willing to work on-site and in-person, required.
