Naval Sea Systems Command SUPERVISORY PROGRAM ANALYST in San Diego, California

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM ANALYST in the Surface Ship Modernization Program; Surface Warfare Directorate of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will manage In-Service Ship Modernization upgrades, CNO Availabilities and initiate engineering investigations to ensure Life Cycle and Ship Class-wide issues in support of Alterations development/Ship Class advisories, under PEO Ships. You will analyze Navy ship maintenance or modernization processes and procedures to recommend improvements. You will research specifications for issuance of solicitation for Navy ship maintenance or modernization bidding process. You will evaluate plans and proposals to modify or initiate new Navy ship maintenance or modernization projects. You will prepare reports on the status of Navy ship availability for submittal or briefing to senior management, and provide weekly summaries of ongoing Ship Availabilities and Ship Modernization upgrades to PEO Ships. You will establish work assignments to be accomplished by employees in the program, set priorities, prepare schedules for work completion, and ensure the timely performance of satisfactory work efforts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (or GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing program requirements (e.g., ship availabilities, schedules, resources, new technology integration) to develop strategic plans for the maintenance, modernization, or sustainment of surface ships. Education Additional Information The NH-04 pay band is equivalent the GS-14 and GS-15 grade levels. This position has a control point; thus, the salary range for this position is capped at GS-15, step 05 which is currently equivalent to $185,532. If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
