Job Title: Associate, Software Engineer, Testing

Location: 400 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA 94105

Summary of Duties: Partner with development teams to gather and understand project requirements. Implement and develop new engineering solutions to test for specific needs. Support development teams to define non-functional testing needs and work with core infrastructure teams & SREs to implement performance testing. Evolve test automation platforms and infrastructure. Ensure firm standards and procedures are followed including security, testing, release, and change control. Educate development teams on best practices across the SDLC, including CI/CD. Provide testing consulting services. Four (4) days in office and one (1) day remote per week.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, QA Automation Engineer, or a related role. Two (2) years of experience with: designing and building advanced automation to test and release pipelines; implementing scalable testing frameworks to meet the needs of wider development and testing groups; utilizing Java, Python, or JavaScript; executing adoption of best practices for code coverage, testing, and maintainability; performing code refactoring, test-driven development, software optimization, performance tuning, building tools, and testing frameworks; working with distributed architectures, web service APIs (REST, SOAP), microservices, AWS, and container based development; performing continuous integration, continuous deployment, and mocking technologies; developing applications with NoSQL (Cassandra) and relational databases; delivering software solutions in a fast-paced environment; and evaluating and integrating open source and third-party APIs into the software lifecycle.

For California only the salary range for this position is $132,600 - $152,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
