Our client, is seeking a Commissioning Technician 1 to join their team. As a Commissioning Technician 1 , you will be part of the Commissioning Department supporting light rail vehicles in San Francisco The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills , attention to detail , and the ability to work effectively in a team environment , which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Commissioning Technician

Location: San Francisco, CA

Pay Range: $28.00-37.00/hr

Type: 13 wk contract with possible extension

We are looking for mechanics or technicians that are comfortable working in a rail yard environment implementing modifications/change orders or performing routine testing on new vehicles.

What’s the Job?

1. Executes predefined commissioning/rework steps at components and systems.

2. Documents the steps performed.

3. Delivers a full range of service in a defined technical area with given guidelines and procedures.

4. Handles routine inquiries and procedures from internal or external customers.

5. Uses specialized machines, tools, and equipment for effective performance.

What’s Needed?

1. 2 years of vocational training plus up to 1 year of experience.

2. Knowledge ETHERNET based communication networks, their setup, and diagnostic

3. Ability to work with a variety of system design documents like schematics, functional descriptions, and specifications to troubleshoot and repair failures

4. Familiar with common test equipment (multi meter, clamp meter, DC and AC power supplies)

5. Read, interpret, and built according to mechanical drawings and design documents
