Position Overview

You will report to the Vice President of DXC Engineering. This role can be based in San Francisco, CA, in a hybrid capacity. Our team looks across the customer lifecycle and helps customers discover, buy, and use Autodesk products through engaging digital experiences. Our digital customer experience is in an exciting transition to a consolidated experience for all customers and all products. You will ensure the engineering team that delivers these solutions operates at scale.

You will help our team to build a healthy organization by designing and improving operational models. You will help us partner across organizations and help us mature our engineering excellence practice. You bring expertise in how to run great engineering teams and are excited to create that at scale. You will be a member of the engineering leadership team and serve as an advisor and enabler of the success of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Engineering Managers/Directors, Product Managers and Leadership to ensure roadmap agreement on engineering and product priorities

  • Define and manage the rhythm of this group and coordinate quarterly business objectives and important results

  • Manage executive meetings/workshops, such as formulating topics, building and advising agendas, guiding the discussion, bringing together action items, and following up

  • Design and guide strategic meetings and workshops such as team building sessions, organizational reviews, strategy discussions, and other topics for team meetings

  • Lead program retrospectives and commitment to improvement on a regular cadence

  • Provide feedback, and recommendations to senior management regarding the development, capabilities, and potential of all initiatives

  • Work with engineers, technical leads, managers, and others to work towards a common vision

  • Provide leadership to achieve a high software engineering standard, including efficiency, quality, security, resiliency, and other best practices

  • Manage the planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects

  • Collaborate with a geographically-dispersed teams and team members

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience managing technical projects in a software engineering domain.

  • 5+ years Engineering Program Management experience driving SDLC projects across engineering organizations.

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or Computer Science or equivalent years of work experience running technical projects

  • Modern Web experience

  • Experience with AWS & SaaS services

  • Agile certification

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $138,200 and $223,630. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
