Robert Half HR Generalist in San Francisco, California
Description We are on the hunt for a dedicated HR Generalist to become a part of our team in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be leading HR operations, managing HRIS and payroll, overseeing recruitment, and supporting a distributed team. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the industry.
Responsibilities:
• Lead HR operations in a systematic and efficient manner.
• Oversee end-to-end recruitment process and manage new hire onboarding.
• Maintain and manage HR Information System (BambooHR) and payroll (ADP Workforce Now), ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Spearhead the annual performance review program.
• Support a distributed team of employees including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, employment verification, and terminations.
• Manage employee record management ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct background checks as part of the recruitment process.
• Support the SVP of Finance with various HR-related tasks.
• Implement and monitor HR policies and procedures. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
• A minimum of three years of experience as an HR generalist or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now software for HR management.
• A thorough understanding of benefit functions, including health insurance, retirement plans, and employee wellness programs.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements in relation to HR, including labor laws and industry-specific regulations.
• Experience in managing employee relations and resolving workplace conflicts.
• Familiarity with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and its application in handling employee leaves of absence.
• Proven track record in performance management, including conducting evaluations, providing feedback, and implementing improvement plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented approach to work.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
