We're looking for an experienced, technical product manager passionate about raising the bar on customer experience while balancing the needs of our business and our partners. The role will contribute to our multi-year hardware roadmap and own individual device programs from concept inception through to customer shipping. Candidates should be highly curious, able to deal with significant ambiguity, and strong bias for action to get programs moving. The role is highly visible within the organization and directly interacts with all senior leadership functions.

Key job responsibilities

  • You define multi-year roadmaps that take a product line from A->C

  • You story tell around why a product category or individual product solution is compelling for customers and solves a need

  • You have both breadth and depth in technical facets of your product line and can converse with engineering subject matter experts

  • You can convey complex technical topics to non-technical colleagues and customers

  • You sweat small details and remain engaged from idea through customer delivery

About the team

eero, an Amazon company acquired in 2019, focuses on connectivity in homes and businesses. eero's centralized product management team encompasses hardware, customer-facing software, and B2B software/services.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience technical product management

  • Experience building and delivering consumer or commercial hardware products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

  • Familiarity with RF protocols such as wifi, Bluetooth, and 802.15.4 (Zigbee/Thread)

  • Experience with regulatory certifications such as FCC and UL Safety

  • Familiarity with thermal engineering and validation approaches in consumer electronics

  • Knows the difference between a dB and a dBm, a Watt and an Amp

  • Experience thinking through software differentiation on top of hardware

  • Enjoys prototyping ideas to turn theory into reality

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
