Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or enforcing worldwide policy, the Prime Video Trust & Safety team is on the front lines of enhancing the PV experience and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world.

As a Trust & Safety Specialist, you are responsible for working with a global team of Policy, Program, Engineering, Legal and other teams to prevent violating content from appearing on PV and ensuring customers can make informed viewing decisions by accurately assessing maturity ratings. With cutting edge tools and technology, you evaluate abuse trends and quality, and develop workflows and processes that maintain our quality / community guidelines. You review decisions about the appropriateness of different content, including considerations of cultural and political sensitivities. This role may require on-call and weekend support on a rotational basis.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day Prime Video Trust & Safety Operations through content review and data labeling activities.

  • Influence & execute the compliance strategy and drive the operations roadmap with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement.

  • Gather, analyze and utilize relevant data to develop ways to improve the overall PV user experience.

  • Research and stay up to date on key trends and suspicious patterns across policy areas.

  • Participate in content calibrations.

  • Review of controversial, sometimes offensive video content in line with PV’s community guidelines.

  • Be a compliance subject matter expert for the company, and maintain expertise by regularly performing operational core work, handling escalations and quality audits.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

    • Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
    • Speak, write, and read fluently in English
    • Experience with Excel
    • Speak, write, and read Japanese. N3 JLPT or above required.
    • Over 18+ old with national ID or permanent resident ID (Dimex). (Costa Rica)
    • High school degree and bachelor's degree or work experience in investigations, risk, incident, customer service or crisis analysis.
    • High attention to detail.
    • Avid fan of movies and tv series.
    • Technical Requirements
    • A minimum of 10 mbps download and 2 mbps upload speed from a reliable internet provider.
    • Must be directly connected to router/modem via Ethernet cable. Cannot use a wireless connection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of consumer product compliance processes and regulations

    • Experience in content policy/moderations/ratings, anti-abuse, and reviewing online content.
    • Avid PV user preferred.
    • Experience identifying abuse trends or working in news or policy with passion for international issues, including freedom of expression, online controversial content, misinformation etc.
    • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills Self-starter, intellectually curious and creative individual comfortable operating in ambiguity
    • Excellent communication skills, open, collaborative and proven team player.
    • Experience working with global teams.
