Job Description:

The Career Development & Student Engagement Associate Manager will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive academic support and customer service for Academy students while also providing career development counseling to achieve their professional goals. They will be responsible for providing ongoing support and proactive intervention to help with retention and completion of students and assist with managing the student’s overall experience at the academy.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide career development to guide customers in developing professional goals and career path.

  • Coach customers in demonstrating professionalism and airline ready behaviors that ensure the academy is employers’ first choice for hiring pilots.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners.

  • Establish and implement programming to support customers in becoming airline ready pilots and other applicable aviation careers.

  • Manage campus events, including orientation, career services, student workshops, graduation, etc. to build the reputation as the academy of choice.

  • Engage alumni and create mentoring opportunities between graduates and current cadets.

  • Utilize advanced software skills to manage and track student progress.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and data management tools.

  • Superior customer service skills.

  • High end experience and understanding of customer touch points.

    Qualifications:

  • Requires a strong knowledge of job area. Typically obtained through a combination of education and experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree with six (6) years of prior educational leadership, human resources career counselling and/or business development experience.

  • Master’s degree with four (4) years of prior educational leadership, human resources career counselling and/or business development experience.

  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of ten (10) years of prior educational leadership, human resources career counseling and/or business development experience.

  • Must be a US Citizen.
