(Junior) Business Consultant - IT RDM Clinical

This is a multi-level posting.

Our IT RDM Clinical team is looking for a (Junior) Business Consultant. Within the team we drive and support high quality, value-adding and user-centric solutions to our customers in the area of Clinical Trial Setup and Engagement. We are currently transitioning into an agile product team-oriented setup.

*Tasks and responsibilities *

As a Junior Business Consultant:

• In your new role, you will evolve into an expert for both existing and new systems and solutions, considering technical, process, and organizational aspects.

• Working in an agile product team setup, composed of team members from IT and Business area using agile methodologies.

• Lead and manage small-mid IT initiatives in a dev-ops setup and ensuring their intended business value.

• Support all needed assessments and prove of technical feasibility.

• Participate on cross-functional / cross-team initiatives in a global, multicultural, and diverse environment in support of business objectives.

• Ensure the security and compliance of the Clinical Trial systems (e.g., but not limited to User Account Administration & Access Control) as well as license management.

• Contribute and drive the implementation, development and run of our digital initiatives.

As a Business Consultant:

• Be the IT Lead for a Business Capability

• Coordinate support for incidents, problems and known error detection, diagnosis, and remediation activities for Clinical Operations systems in our environment.

*Requirements  *

As a Junior Business Consultant:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Engineering or Business Administration

• Knowledge / trainings and ideally proven experience in working in a Scrum / Agile team incl. Agile Methodologies.

• Experience in the life science industry is a plus.

• Intrinsic interest to see how technology is evolving and how this can be translated to innovative solutions for business.

• Ability to constantly learning and willingness for multi-specializing within a product team setup.

• Excellent communications skills, team collaboration and spirit, thinking creatively out-of-the-box with innovative ideas.

• Excellent presentation and communication skills in English (verbal and written), German would be beneficial. 

• Willingness to travel from time to time on a global level (about 20%) 

As a Business Consultant:

• 3-5 years’ experience in business/technical analysis and consulting, design of computer systems.

• Proven experience in working in a Scrum / Agile Product team using Agile Methodologies.

• Experience in working in a virtual, international, and multicultural environment.
