Role Definition : Builds, enhances, and maintains central configuration databases; tracks change requests, analyzes and recommends enhancements, and evaluates requests for new configuration management requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with product engineers to provide timely release and implementation of new models, major product updates and miscellaneous changes. Maintaining integrity and traceability of the configuration throughout its life cycle, by implementing library control, product builds, tools setup and maintenance.

  • Establishing priorities and coordinating efforts of the change control team responsible for processing product changes, establishing manufacturing effective dates and scheduling of material to the factory.

  • Responding to questions related to configuration management policies and procedures. Performing configuration verification audits.

  • Manage team of 3-5 employees.

  • Providing on-going specialized expertise and consultation to several product change control groups regarding releasing practices.

Manufacturing Process Improvement - PHA : Knowledge of manufacturing processes; ability to identify and implement key actions/factors for the process improvement in manufacturing.

  • Demonstrates success with process improvements projects for multiple products or manufacturing sites.

  • Conducts process reviews and evaluations; establishes and monitors follow-up activities.

  • Compares key measurements of process effectiveness to industry benchmarks.

  • Discusses types of pitfalls and barriers to effective process improvement endeavors.

  • Reviews potential improvement opportunities at all phases of the manufacturing process.

  • Discusses considerations and approaches for maximizing production time at a facility.

Change Control - MFG : Knowledge of the processes and procedures by which a change is identified, evaluated, approved, monitored and documented; ability to manage changes in the production environment and processes effectively.

Level Expert:

  • Integrates change management process with contingency and disaster recovery planning.

  • Consults on case studies of ineffective change control practices and impact on bottom line.

  • Establishes best practices for change management and control.

  • Leads the implementation of high-impact changes to the operating environment.

  • Leads discussions on the historical background and future perspective of manufacturing change control.

  • Builds and maintains communications on implemented and planned changes with employees in affected areas.

What You Have:

  • College or university degree related to Supply Chain, or equivalent experience, is required.

  • 3 - 5 years of previous work experience in such fields as purchasing, supply chain, operations, engineering, product development, or marketing is required.

  • Fluent English

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization and communication skills

  • A background in Manufacturing, Operations, Inventory Management, Material Requirements and/or Supply Chain/Logistics is highly desired.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

Top Candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business or with technical focus highly valued is desired.

  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience with successful projects is desired.

Additional Details:

  • This position will be located in Monterrey, MX

  • <10% of working time will be travel

  • Work from Monday to Friday
