Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a companies' team in Santa Maria, California. This role is a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will have a variety of responsibilities, mainly focused on supporting financial reporting processes, managing accounts, and providing additional support as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in financial reporting, including General Ledger activities and maintaining related controls.

• Aid in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including support for month-end closing processes.

• Contribute to the coordination of quarterly and year-end audits.

• Provide support for Accounts Payable and Receivable functions.

• Serve as backup for Billing and Customer Service as necessary.

• Assist with analysis for sales and marketing.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

  Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of General Ledger maintenance

• Skilled in Journal Entries preparation

• Expertise in Month End Close processes

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred, not required

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations

• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a requirement (V-LOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, etc.)
