Introduction

The People Data Senior Specialist is responsible for flow and maintenance of HR data. This person executes strategic goals and objectives with HR Data, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The People Data Senior Consultant works to maintain smooth operations for the business cycle involving HR Data using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques. Finally, the People Data Senior Consultant may provide direct input into the governance cycle that supports the achievement of key goals, planning and execution of various business scenarios, and delivery of business value.

The People Data Senior Specialist reports into HR Operations through the People Data Architecture Manager and works closely with IT to align technical solutions with business needs. The People Data Senior Consultant may have supervisory responsibility, possibly acting as coach and mentor to junior members. In addition, the People Data Senior Consultant works with others at every level of the organization executing strategic imperatives.

What you will do:

  • Analyze our business problems, with consideration of policies and legal requirements to provide the best possible recommendations.  

  • Document business requirements and assumptions, processes, workarounds, for users.  

  • Test our ecosystem to ensure stability. Identify any gaps in accountability and ownership. 

  • Understand the data model and the operational use of data. Monitor and make updates to HR data as required.  

  • Maintain data inventory and data flow diagrams provide the information and tools necessary to properly make decisions about data policies, standards, and implementation. 

  • Support policies and principles designed and enforced to ensure that best practices are followed for any new technology implementation. 

  • Educate the business side on the importance of data architecture and the impact when its guidelines aren’t followed.  

Skills and experiences

  • Experience with Saas HRIS System preferred. Experience with WorkDay is an asset. SAP/Success Factors/WD nice to have 

  • Expert in Excel analysis, formulas and data manipulation, T-sql nice to have 

  • Experience/knowledge of CRM/ATS preferred 

  • Experience in a Human Resources function 

  • The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture 

  • Experience deploying both business and IT initiatives 

  • Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience.
