Position Description

This is a Part-Time Opportunity.

The Field Service Engineer will provide high quality OCONUS engineering support to the Commander, Navy Region Japan (CNRJ) Department, Division and branch employees in order to sustain and maintain current Anti Terrorism / Force Protection (AT/FP), Electronic Security Systems, Audio Video and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems, sub-systems, security and emergency management equipment.These OCONUS systems include alarms, naval munitions command, cameras, intrusion detection, access control, Audio Visual components and sub components, control systems, VTC systems, and emergency operations centers.

Serco Inc. is using this posting for the purpose of responding to a proposal. We are seeking qualified candidates in the event of a contract award. This position is not currently funded/active and is contingent upon being award the contract. Should Serco be awarded the contract, and you meet the qualifications of the position, you will be considered in the selection process.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide technical expertise, services and materials necessary to support Audio Video, VTC, and ESS sustainment for Government facilities

  • Provide technical ESS troubleshooting techniques and be able to determine hardware/software related issues

  • Provide support for Cisco, Polycom, Extron, AMX, Crestron and other industry standard engineering products and tools

  • Perform periodic equipment inspections, regression tests, calibrations, and preventitive maintenance tasks in addition to the corrective maintenance actions and ensure the systems functionality and operability as intended

  • Responsible for procurement of equipment and transporting for site integrations

  • Collaborate with cross functional Government and Contractor teams to ensure efficieny of operations

  • Support Trouble tickets within specific time frames to ensure timeley responses and effective repairs, retrofits, upgrades and overall maintanence

  • Provide expert Information Technology (IT) and Information Assurance (IA) support for compliancy with any integration or technical support

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance (A Current DoD Secret Clearance highly preferred)

  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent (A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Cyber Security or related fields Highly Preferred)

  • 2 years of experience (DoD Network, Electronic Maintenance, System Administration, ESS, VTC and/or Cyber Security protocols and best practices Highly preferred

  • Experience/knowledge in the following:

  • Department of Defense ESS, IT, IA, Cyber and Procurement best practices

  • Electronic preventative and corrective maintenance best practices

  • Providing DoD technical planning and implementation support

  • Management of DoD Networking systems, sub-systems, equipment and infrastructure

  • High quality ESS troubleshooting techniques, servicing, maintaining and upgrading on enterprise level

  • High quality AV and VTC troubleshooting techniques, servicing, maintaining and upgrading on enterprise level

  • Advanced Information Technology best practices, Axis, Lenel, Cisco, Polycom, Crestron, Extron, Lanel, AMX, and/or ThinkLogical maintenance and programming

  • Experience/Knowledge with conducting IT trainings, presentations, recommendations, upgrades and documentation for Government personnel or leadership

  • Familiarity with DoN/DoD Network Management, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting

  • Familiarity with DoN/DoD Engineering Manuals, Documentation, Test Planning, Regression Testing and Implementation or Integration Planning

  • Familiarity with DoN/DoD/Industry Government Off the Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Equipment Management

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed.

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $66,558.60 to $110,931.00; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills
