US WATER LLC Well/Septic (POWTS) Inspector in SCHOFIELD, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Primary Duties: Inspect Private Wells and Septic Systems POWTS Inspection Per Wis. Admin. Code SPS 305.66, a person who holds a certification issued by the Department as a certified POWTS Inspector may inspect privately owned wastewater treatment systems, POWTS, for the purpose of administering and enforcing the provisions of Wis. Admin. Code SPS 381 to 387 as an authorized representative of the Department or a local governmental unit. A person who inspects privately owned wastewater treatment systems as a certified POWTS Inspector shall: Maintain a record of the inspections made including the dates and the findings of the inspections; Provide a copy of the inspection record to the privately owned wastewater treatment system owner or his or her agent; Make available to the Department upon request his or her inspection records Well Inspections: (Must have pump installers license) A well inspector evaluates the condition of a well, including its compliance with standards and separation distances from potential sources of contamination or flooding. They may also inspect the well\'s pressure system and identify any non-compliant features. - Conduct thorough inspections of residential properties to assess their condition and identify any potential issues or concerns. - Collect and document data related to the property\'s structure, systems, and components. - Identify any safety hazards or code violations and provide recommendations for remediation. - Prepare detailed reports outlining inspection findings, including photographs and descriptions of any deficiencies. Requirements: - Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. - Proficiency in reading and interpreting contracts, schematics, and blueprints. - Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues or concerns. - Strong communication skills to effectively communicate inspection findings to clients. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. - Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation. Monitor installation of plumbing, wiring, equipment, or appliances to ensure that installation is performed properly and is in compliance with applicable regulations. Conduct inspections, using survey instruments, metering devices, tape measures, or test equipment. Confer with owners, violators, or authorities to explain regulations or recommend remedial actions. Conduct environmental hazard inspections to identify or quantify problems, such as asbestos, poor air quality, water contamination, or other environmental hazards.
