Amazon Business Intelligence Engineer, Advertising Trust Data in Seattle, Washington

Description

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to help build out actionable and insightful metrics for both internal and external stakeholders. The goal of these actionable insights is to give our internal stakeholders a holistic view in to how policies connect to our customers and to help our customers better understand their advertising on Amazon. To succeed in this role, you will have strong technical acumen and extensive experience in developing reporting, BI, and data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable diving deep, and making data driven decisions with a strong customer focus.

Key job responsibilities

· Develop a deep understanding of Advertising's vast data sources and know exactly how, when, and which data to use to solve particular business problems.

· Conduct deep dive analyses and translate requirements into effective data visualizations and analytical solutions

· Imagine and develop new ways to present data that adds value and insight

· Proactively identify projects and analyses that help improve Ads Customer Trust, including defining metrics and goals.

· Partner closely with other Tech, Product and Data engineering teams on the day-to-day execution of analytics, projects and initiatives

Customer trust is everything at Amazon. Our Advertising Trust organization develops policies, and builds the systems, which ensure customer trust in advertising. With a growing advertising technology business, and hundreds of thousands of active self-service advertisers across the globe, this organization is vital to ensuring we can scale while maintaining and ensuring strong customer trust. Leveraging AI, we build systemic solutions that ensure advertising adherence to the complex regulatory, legal, regional, cultural and customer expectations in over 30 countries.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

  • Experience writing complex SQL queries

  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab

  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
