Clinical Nurse Educator - Acute Care

• The Clinical Nurse Educator provides support and education to clinical workforce. • Emphasizing service excellence, patient safety, staff safety and organizational integration, the Clinical Nurse Educator provides leadership and resources that promote the following: • Effective orientation and evaluation of baseline skill level and competencies for assigned workforce. • Efficient and effective educational services and resources, which enable staff to meet patient care needs. • Timely clinical problem solving and communication of clinical issues at all levels (peer, staff, management, physician). • Effective interdisciplinary and interdepartmental collaboration and service coordination. • Effective educational resource for patient care. • Practical and effective application of evidence-based practices

Required: Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of WA. BSN degree. 3-5 years Medical/Surgical Acute Care/Telemetry experience, including 2 years leadership experience such as manager/assistant manager, charge, preceptor, and/or educator. • Demonstrated ability to analyze practice issues and implement solutions/improvements • Demonstrated ability to develop, teach and evaluate education offerings • Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary group setting • Advanced written and verbal skills • Flexibility in meeting workload demands, some evening/night • Knowledge of MS Office platform (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.)
Desired: Experience with shared governance model of nursing practice Masters in Nursing, PhD or DNP Oncology certification Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Telemetry/ECG Competency
