Blue Origin LLC CNC Laser Operator II in Seattle, Washington

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a small, hardworking, and accomplished team of professionals, you will program and operate CNC laser processing machines to produce high-value aerospace components. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of process and design engineers to characterize, improve, and document manufacturing processes and the resulting hardware quality. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Special Mentions Relocation Provided. Shift Available: Second Shift Monday - Thursday (3pm - 1:30am) Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Read and interpret engineering drawings. Jog and dry-run CNC machine to set up processing. Operate fiber laser equipment. CNC system programming, both at the machine control and with offline software. Provide manufacturing feedback to design engineers. Provide process improvement feedback to process engineers. Safely work within an industrial environment. Minimum Qualifications: 2+ years' experience with CNC Machines Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Ability to set-up and accurately position large scale hardware. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Experience: 3-5 years' experience with CNC Machines. Understanding of laser optics and processes such as cutting and welding, and part set up - including knowledge of laser safety practices. CNC G-code language online programming. CNC offline CAM programming. Ability to operate manual machine tools (basic lathe, mill).
