Antea USA Inc. Environmental Project Manager in Seattle, Washington

Antea USA, Inc. (Antea®Group) is seeking an Environmental Project Manager in our Redmond, WA office location. This position is structured for someone with strong technical experience and operations expertise and will combine technical, financial, and interpersonal management skills while working with a team of engineers, scientists, health and safety specialists, and subcontractors. This safety-sensitive position reports to the Office Leader and will lead project teams on a variety of assignments including work plan/proposal preparation, remedial action and investigation report writing and review, regulatory interaction, design and implementing corrective actions, soil and groundwater site assessments, UST removal, excavation oversight, health and safety oversight, and Phase I/II/III Environmental Site Assessments. This is a full-time role with up to 15 % travel required. Where will I work? This position will be based out of our Redmond, WA office location with the flexibility to work remotely as assignments allow. In this hybrid work environment, it is expected that this position report to the office periodically and/or as requested for in-person meetings, mentorship, and leadership and collaboration with other team members. Although minimal, some project work could require local, regional, and/or overnight travel for large project kick offs or as required for emergency response. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Training * A minimum requirement of a degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related scientific field * 3+ years of environmental project management experience * Ability to become a Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) in Washington State * 40-Hour HAZWOPER training is required (and can be provided for the right candidate) Desired Experience * A proven track record of strong project management performance in environmental consulting or a related field * Experience managing staff including all facets of team building, HR management, performance evaluations, and junior staff mentoring/training * Experience in environmental remediation, regulatory compliance, and due diligence * Experience on petroleum terminal and pipeline, railroad, chemical, and UST projects, including current investigation and remediation technical approaches * Experience driving projects through regulatory programs and negotiating site closure with regulators * Washington State Department of Ecology's Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) regulatory experience with skills advancing projects from new release through final regulatory closure, including use of applicable model remedy closure standards * Managing sub-contractors including bid spec development, contracting and insurance/safety review, project award and field supervision; Fundamental Skill Set * Strong organizational skills/attention to detail * Excellent communication skills * High energy and self-initiative * Decision making skills * Ability to multi-task with multiple project managers * Ability to work independently and produce results * Proactive thinking * Demonstrated organizational and communication skills, excellent proficiency in technical writing * Ability to delegate to and mentor staff resources * Ability to identify staffing needs evaluating portfolio level scope/schedule backlog * Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future. * Potential employees must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check, pre-employment drug screening (as permitted by law), and baseline physical (safety sensitive roles). They must also have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
