Amazon Business is hiring a Finance Manager for the Worldwide (WW) AB Marketing team. The role works closely with senior leadership to provide strategic guidance and decision support in this rapidly evolving space. We are looking for an innovative, customer-obsessed, and self-driven candidate who is able to distill complex problems into solutions that drive business insights and finance process improvement. You will work closely with key marketing leaders to identify opportunities to drive growth, provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership across a broad geographic scope. You will also provide strong controllership to the marketing team as we continue to innovate by launching new marketing initiatives to scale our business. This is a high judgment role that requires someone who can execute without structured guidance, navigate ambiguity, communicate clearly, and effectively deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Key job responsibilities

  • Partner with marketing leadership to drive strategic marketing initiatives, build financial frameworks for new program launches, develop mechanisms, and assess return on investment for various marketing channels.

  • Solve complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, business insights, and recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout Amazon.

  • Drive and own core financial processes for AB Marketing including month end close, annual operating plan, long range strategic plan and monthly/quarterly business reviews.

  • Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc data analysis, and financial modeling using a broad range of tools including Excel, SQL, and COGNOS.

  • Promote strong financial controllership and look around corners to simplify reporting mechanisms, eliminate unnecessary steps, and innovate.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
