Amazon Front End Engineer II, Selling Partner Experience in Seattle, Washington

Description

The hiring team owns selling partner experience for Amazon. Millions of sellers across the world rely on these experience to quickly remediate various regulatory and other requests to continue selling. Our team builds highly scalable, configurable widgets that are deployed into multiple portals across Amazon with millions of visits daily. We use cutting edge technologies and work closely with Amazon central front end excellence teams and best in class UX design teams. The right candidate for this role is an enthusiastic front end engineer who is passionate about solving problems, seeks to understand the customer's needs, and focuses on the right outcomesr.

The right candidate will thrive in a cooperative team environment, enjoy working through complex and ambiguous problems, and will collaborate with our partner teams to design our tech platforms, frameworks, and processes. Good communication and interpersonal skills because we are a multi-disciplinary team. Our developers work closely and productively with designers, program managers, and business stakeholders.

In this role you will:

  • Own technical design and feature development for front end components that present products, banners, events, and other customer facing experiences on the retail website.

  • Communicate with engineers, product managers, and designers on our team and other teams as needed to complete project assignments.

  • Describe software features and limitations, committed to finding the best path forward for new features and integrations, troubleshoot and resolve bugs on existing systems, and design and implement new systems in a continuous improvement model.

  • Be obsessed with addressing customer needs.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience

  • 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience

  • Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience

  • Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
