We are looking for a Risk Manager to join our RISC Customer Safety Insights and Investigations team.

As a Risk Manager you will be responsible for:

· Identifying, containing, and resolving time sensitive escalations.

· Performing analysis of data from a variety of sources to identify possible risk indicators.

· Performing incident triage, to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact, identifying the specific vulnerability, and making recommendations that enable expeditious remediation.

· Performing escalation trend analysis and reporting.

· Performing real-time incident handling tasks to support world-wide operations.

· Analyzing escalations from various sources within Amazon and determining possible root causes.

· Tracking and documenting incidents from initial detection through final resolution.

· Writing and publishing techniques, guidance, and reports on incident findings.

· Serving as technical expert and liaison with inside and outside counsel.

· Writing and publishing Correction of Error Reports and after action reviews.

· Presenting deep-dive documents and reports on policy and process gaps to senior executives, leading to continuous process improvements.

The successful candidate should have strong business, communication and writing skills, proven ability to influence senior stakeholders via data-driven and actionable insights, and capable of working independently in an ambiguous environment. You will partner and consult with business, legal, finance, and technical teams to scale and simplify processes, develop robust mechanisms and launch new features.

Analyze existing policy and process gaps, and identify solutions to close them

Function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Work with cross functional teams – operations, business, finance, data and tech teams to continuously improve the program

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience handling confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with research and investigation skills or equivalent

  • Experience with regulatory filings and reports or equivalent

  • Experience with SQL and Excel

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
