Amazon Senior Financial Analyst, eReader in Seattle, Washington

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with the global eReader Engagement and Insights Team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will partner with senior leaders to drive improved engagement and customer experience on eReader Devices.

In this role, you will dive into engagement analytics, scope new business opportunities, develop new business cases for investment, and provide a full range of financial services for the product line including: controllership, goal prioritization, engagement forecasting, and near/long term financial plans.

Key job responsibilities

Report monthly content monetization financials for eReader at the worldwide and country levels.

Develop and update quarterly content financials forecast and annual plans.

Develop, drive and present to leadership new business cases and financial metrics tied to customer engagement.

Evaluate digital + physical promotion strategy and other initiatives to drive incremental revenue and profitability.

Drive the engagement forecasting models aligning both Devices and Content.

Lead key analytical projects that assist and influence improved decision making.

Develop insights and KPI dashboards to streamline engagement reporting.

Share your expertise with the rest of the team and contribute to the overall Devices Finance team culture

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

  • 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • 4+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

  • MBA, or CPA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
