This role can be done from anywhere in the United States- any of our offices, or remotely from home. It's about impact, not location. The FP&A OPEX team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support OPEX planning and reporting as well as drive process improvements in this space. As a member of the OPEX team you will act as a trusted business partner and advisor to the various Sonos functional organizations. In this role you will be responsible for a variety of FP&A tasks including driving planning and forecasting processes with business partners, monthly & quarterly accounting close support and reporting for key stakeholders, OPEX budget management, and financial model building. This position requires strong collaboration and communication with key partners, attention to detail, and the ability to take a thoughtful approach to projects. We are looking for a candidate with the ability to jump right in and who has an inclination to teach and help others as well as a willingness to learn. What You'll Do Drive the annual planning and quarterly forecasting process with business partners; maintain planning calendars, user templates, and manage Anaplan inputs; create forecast to forecast variance bridges with explanations Partner with the Accounting team at each month and quarter-end to ensure accurate accruals for key expense items and analyze accuracy of results compared to forecast Become the subject matter expert for OPEX variance explanations versus Plan and Forecast and lead the storytelling for the teams you support; participate in total company OPEX consolidations and storytelling in partnership with Core FP&A Partner with Finance Systems teams to create tools and reports that allow for more streamlined forecasting, accurate reporting, and better insight; contribute to system enhancements or new system implementations Identify and lead process improvement opportunities across FP&A, Accounting, and other partners to improve efficiency, reporting and performance Ad hoc projects supporting key business partners within the teams you support Partner with the business to compile financial projections supporting functional and strategic long term planning What You'll Need Research shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often don't apply for roles if they don't meet all the criteria. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or similar field Minimum of 4+ years progressive experience working in FP&A, accounting, consulting or banking Advanced Excel or Google Sheets modeling and analysis skills, ability to analyze and summarize large data sets and make recommendations based on the data Financial experience should include general knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and accrual accounting, full P&L familiarity, and budget management exposure Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of or experience with FP&A business partnering in a consumer electronics or other retail company Critical Thinking & Analysis - Ability to look at situati
