Amazon Senior Financial Analyst in Seattle, Washington

Amazon seeks a highly effective Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of the Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative, creative, and fastest growing businesses at Amazon. This role will partner with the organization who builds services for storing, accessing and manually labeling data for training foundational and specialized AI models with world-class privacy and security for customers.

The right individual can dive deep into data to understand and identify business trends, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve and prioritize. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively and implement process enhancements. The successful candidate will have a proven work ethic and a track record of delivering results.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive operational and cost efficiency initiatives for the Data Services organization spanning multiple countries and locations

• Own AWS expense and hardware planning and insights

• Partner with Data Services leadership and business intelligence on the design and implementation of reporting solutions and key metrics to drive insights and enable quicker and more effective decision making

• Ownership of proactively identifying metric anomalies and highlighting reporting issues and gaps for leadership and partnering with cross-functional teams to determine and implement solutions

• Ad hoc analysis including creating, maintaining and expanding the scope of the business and financial models that highlight opportunities and deliver results

A day in the life

This role will support the AGI Data Services organization under Amazon’s AGI business and will drive financial reporting and ad-hoc analysis, including creating, maintaining and expanding the scope of the models that help drive the business. Given the strategic nature of this business, this is a high visibility role. You will work hand-in-hand with your business partners in the data services organization to improve reporting, perform impact analyses, and provides insights and recommendations.

AGI Data Services (AGI DS) within AGI, builds services for storing, accessing, and manually labeling data for training foundational and specialized AI models with world-class privacy and security for our end customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including experience in developing financial reports and models

  • A self-starter that thrives in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload

  • Demonstrable leadership skills and experience in a business partnering role

  • Experience planning and reporting in corporate finance environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
