Key job responsibilities

The Device Operations Technology and Software (DOTS) team is looking for a Sr. Product Manager - Technical to take the lead in building products and services in a growing and dynamic space. Leveraging a background in product innovation, execution, and analytics, you will identify forward thinking scalable solutions, and advocate for products across the organization. We work to develop software products that facilitate the planning, production, distribution, sales, and returns of Amazon Devices, guiding leaders and partners on strategy and prioritization.

As a Sr. Product Manager - Technical, you will:

  • Identify opportunities for innovation, build and improve systems, while delivering for scale and complexity.

  • Communicate and earn trust with our customers.

  • Establish goals and metrics to identify opportunities and deliver success.

  • Define requirements based on knowledge of customers, devices business, and supply chain processes.

  • Communicate vision, roadmap, requirements, and initiatives through written narratives.

  • Manage backlog trade-offs to ensure the team is working on the highest priority items.

Export Control Requirement:

A day in the life

As a Sr PM-T in Device Operations Technology and Software (DOTS), you will work in a team of Program and Product managers who own a group of products, working closely with business partners and engineering teams to execute delivery of new tools, systems, and features.

About the team

DOTS is a multi-disciplinary team of Product Managers, Program Managers, Data Engineers, Applied and Research Scientists, Business Intelligence Engineers, User Experience Researchers and Designers. We take an end-to-end perspective of the software needs of Device Operations, and ensure that solutions address the needs of the entire organization, and solve both the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Irvine, CA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA | Sunnyvale, CA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • MBA

  • 4+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with supply-chain systems

  • Experience with device manufacturing processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
