STATE FAIR COMMUNITY COLLEGE IT Services Specialist I in SEDALIA, Missouri

Under the direction of the Technical Director the IT Services Specialist I is responsible for providing support for desktops, laptops, standardized application, instructional technology, and mobile technology support to the college constituents.

Responsibilities:
  • Updates assigned service requests in the help desk system
  • Maintains and troubleshoots video conferencing equipment
  • Maintains and troubleshoots college approved standard technology in offices and classrooms
  • Performs desktop support for employees
  • Other related duties as assigned

Individual must possess the knowledge and the following skills and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Minimum 2 year degree in relevant field.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating system
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and public relations outreach
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Evidence of flexibility and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as a team member in a lively, collaborative environment.

Desired Skills/Knowledge/Experience: Education and Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in audio visual work and/or desktop support
  • Network + (or equivalent)
  • Apple Mac experience
  • Networking technology experience
